Professional Workshop

Continuing bonds research shows us that grievers are helped by knowing
that the connection they shared with their loved one does not end. This
important and compelling day long workshop will give you all the tools to
apply this technique with your clients. You will hear from a grieving
mother and her counselor who used this technique to bring peace, joy and
a renewed commitment to life. A hospice spiritual care and bereavement
counselor will also speak about techniques she has used to help her dying
and bereaved clients find hope and experience the true bonds of continuing
love.

Description of Workshops

Workshop Overview –
Created by nationally known speakers and respected lecturers in the field of
spirituality, grief, and loss, Deneene Florino, Sara Ruble and Jane Bissler will be
offering professionals a day of workshops to help their grieving clients.
Continuing bonds research shows us that grievers are helped by knowing that the
loving connection they shared with their loved one does not end. This overview
will provide an opportunity for professionals to explore their own spiritual beliefs
about these connections and will begin to offer ways to bring their clients into this
loving and healing gift of loving connections.

Spiritually and Religion, Is there a Difference –
This thought provoking and controversial subject matter will give participants the
opportunity to expand their knowledge, discern their own internal beliefs, and
begin to provide a foundation for their spiritual enlightenment.

Making Connections That Count –
As a bereaved mother, Sara’s deep and burning desire was to identify signs and
find Scott in her life. This need was tremendous. This incredible workshop will
present Sara’s story of connection with her son, as well as Jane’s expert and
trusted instruction on making those connections. It will lay the foundation for
your future work with your own clients or help enhance what you are currently
doing in this area.

Using Meditation To Help Our Clients Make a Commitment to Survive -
Deneene’s wealth of experience of helping people use meditation will be brought
to the fortunate participants of this workshop. You will learn how to use
relaxation and mediation, first through your own experiences and then with your
clients. This will help you and your clients get to a place where the chaos will stop
and their world will be stilled. Through the imagery portion of this workshop, you
will learn to help your clients reconnect with their loved one. Learning these
techniques will help you help your clients make the commitment to survive.

Connections, Continuing Bonds and Spirituality in Counseling the Bereaved and
Dying -
Jane’s twenty years of experience working with those who are experiencing
complicated bereavement will be used in this session to answer your questions
and help you put into practice the days work. Scenarios of grieving clients will be
given to the participants and treatment plans will be created. By attending this
culminating session, you will go home with all the tools to apply this important
information in your professional practice.
