SARA RUBLE
Sara Ruble, Stow, Ohio is the mother of Scott Michael Jessie. In 1994, Scott, who was Sara’
s only child, died suddenly of natural causes. He was only nineteen years old and the love of
her life. Scott’s death was a life changing event for Sara. Being thrust into grief tested her
daily. It has been a very difficult, but increasingly meaningful journey.
Sara facilitated a bereaved parents group for many years. As she helped other parents with
their grief, she continued to learn more about parental grief and assimilating Scott’s death into
her life.
In 2001, Sara founded the Christmas Box Angel of Hope Children’s Memorial in Stow as she
continued to reach out to other bereaved parents.
She has been a presenter at several national bereavement conferences. Sara believes her story
and experiences can be used a guide to believing and trusting that our loved ones are still very
much a part of our lives.
DENEENE FLORINO
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Deneene received her formal education at DePaul University,
graduating with degrees in psychology, biology, and theology. For almost a decade, Deneene
worked as a Hospice Spiritual Care and Bereavement Counselor. She also had a private
practice that included spiritual life coaching, grief counseling, and therapeutic touch. After
working with hospice she took out time for introspection and authored The Angel Tales:
Refuge for a Parents Healing Heart and a Childrens book, Ariel & Alexander: The Biggest
Adventure.
At an early age, Deneene faced grief many times over. She learned to see through what most
people would consider unbearable situations and transcend these experiences to their true
spiritual meaning. By sharing this gift with people, she sends them on their way feeling
hopeful, lighter, and renewed.Emboldened with a sense of their true purpose, they are able to
resonate with their individual circumstances instead of feeling subjected to them.

JANE VAIR BISSLER, PH.D., LPCC, FT
She has a talent for giving people “aha moments” as they develop new spiritual, emotional and
mental perspectives on the thoughts and behaviors that create distress in their lives. Jane is a
practicing counselor and clinical director of Counseling for Wellness, LLP.
She is an adjunct professor in the master and doctoral programs at Kent State University and
has taught courses in bereavement, counseling, and assessments. She is a member of the
Association of Death Education and Counseling and has researched and presented on what
has been most helpful for parents who are grieving the death of their child/ren. She has
authored several books on grief and loss, and also writes a weekly grief question and answer
newspaper column. This is also carried on her website; www.counselingforloss.com For
fifteen years, Jane has keynoted and presented at national, state and local conferences.
Our Premier Workshop
In this workshop, based on the book, Surviving and Thriving: Grief Relief & Continuing
Relationships, you will explore your feelings about the difficult issues of grief. Imagine
knowing that your loved one can hear you and she or he can communicate with you. You will
be given the opportunity to understand how these connections can be of great benefit to you,
lessen your pain during the dark days of grief and continue a relationship with your loved one.
Techniques creating this communication and awareness of how your beliefs can make your
life more bearable and purposeful will be taught, practiced and supported in this workshop.

Religion and Spirituality: Is There a Difference for the Griever? – This thought
provoking and controversial subject matter will give participants the opportunity to expand
their knowledge, discern their own internal beliefs, and begin to provide a foundation for their
spiritual enlightenment.
Grief Relief Through Connections with Your Spiritual Companions – Have you
wondered who your spiritual companions are? Have you longed to have this support in your
life? This exciting workshop was designed to help you find these people in your life and loved
ones where you believe they are.
Come Share With Us – This unique sharing time will give you the opportunity to come to a
round table discussion with Sara, Deneene, and Jane. This time has been reserved especially
for you to be able to ask your most unspoken questions and share your deepest thoughts in a
safe and welcoming environment.
Meditation and Imagery: Creating Bonds with Your Loved Ones.– Deneene’s wealth of
experience of helping people use meditation and imagery will be brought to the fortunate
participants of this workshop. You will learn how to relax and get to a place where you can
stop the chaos and be still. Through imagery, you will learn to reconnect with your loved one
and will have the opportunity to do this in the comfort of your own home.
Making the Commitment to Survive the Sole/Soul Journey!– This workshop will help
you discover your feelings about how your soul is eternal, but your identity is not. These
presenters truly believe that you are given all that is required in your life which is necessary
for you to fulfill your contract to further the understanding of the nature of God. Follow them
as they lead you through this active presentation.
Learning to Use Your Personal Power to Create the Spiritual Life You Want – Have

sacred steps to creatively manage your life and make it just the way you have always
